Are your old clothes making your closet space cramped?
To kick off Nghệ, TimTay has released the first video with suggestions on how to recycle old clothes into a convenient mask - an indispensable item when going out in the new normal days.
You can watch TimTay's tutorial video on IGTV or start doing it by following these steps:
Prepare tools:
- Scissors
- Needle
- Thread
- Two pieces of leftover fabric
- Stiff paper to make a pattern
- Elastic band
Steps:
- Cut the paper according to the pattern prepared by TimTay below.
- Cut the fabric according to the pattern into 4 pieces corresponding to 2 layers of the mask, including the lining layer and the main layer.
- Main layer: Sew the 2 pattern pieces together using a blanket stitch
- Lining layer: Do the same as the main layer
- Lay the 2 layers of the mask on top of each other, fix with a needle.
- Cut 2 pieces of elastic. Each piece is about 13cm long
- Place the elastic between the 2 layers of the mask.
- Sew the 2 layers of the mask together. Leave a piece of about 5cm to turn over.
- Turn the mask inside out.
- Sew the remaining 5cm piece.

To be able to be as creative as possible in making masks, choose a comfortable space and a glass of your favorite drink!
